Fat Straw PDX Bubble Tea - Do you know what Bubble Tea is?

It surprises me that there are still a lot of people today who don't know what bubble tea is, so I thought it would be nice to start a topic on my old favorite forum.
I'm sure there are a lot of Portland Oregon folks in this forum, so let me introduce yah to one of my favorite bubble tea places!

The place is called Fat Straw and they have two locations.
Their Bubble Teas are all vegan (made with coconut milk). They have Ice/Hot Milk Teas, Fruit Smoothies, and ice Green or Black Teas with many flavors.



Their newest location is located in North West Portland.

They have a nice lounge with free wifi and computers for customers to use.

At the North West location, they serve vietnamese Sandwiches and vietnamese coffee!




Now, if North West Portland is too far for you, there is also a Fat Straw location in South East Portland.




The only thing different about this location is that they sell bagel sandwiches and not vietnamese sandwiches.

I LOVE BOBA TEA!! but its to cold to drink it right now...most asian resturants where i live have it now so yeah

ive been there. but everytime i go there. its closed >_< cause i get there late. the yuki sushi place down the street from there has REALLY good sushi.

Bubble tea is old news. Bring on self serve yogurt you charge by the oz. Or ice cream sandwich cookie joints!

I didn't really check to see if that myspace is the legit account for the shop, but who cares... stone cold steve austin doesn't.

personally, i don't really care for boba/bubble tea or any of that stuff. It just seems like stuff trendy asian kids like. i.e: equivalent to starbucks.

hmm, if I want to get these kinds of things I go to the guppy teahouse in Cerritos, California. It got all kinds of dessert, not just boba. They also serve food too, which is pretty good.

I agree. It's never too cold for boba! It was low 20's outside today and people still come in and order smoothies because when you step into fat straw, it would be like drinking a fruit smoothie at a warm beach in the summer.

But most Asian Restaurant (at least in Oregon) serve nasty bubble tea drinks =]

At fat straw it's all about perfection and consistency ^_^
