How to burn ripped dvd's on nero

i downloaded this chinese story-line action/love movie...it's a ripped dvd...and i'm trying to burn in onto my dvd+r......it says something about a codec that i need or somethin...anybody know somethin?? much help would be appreciated

u have to download something call nero vision to do it

You weren't able to download the DVD image? If not you will have to encode to DVD format. You can enode to *.VOB or *.ISO. Usea different encoder program. I use:

If you endcode to *.VOB open Nero and use burn DVD-Video. Put all the *.VOB files in the VIDEO_TS folder. Leave Audio_TS empty. Then burn.

If you encode to *.ISO just burn the Image in Nero (Recorder->Burn Image) select the Image and burn.

It's better to download a image. Encoding sucks. You might want to leave your computer idle or you'll get a few frameskips.

use dvd shrink to make the dvd rip into an iso.
then use nero to burn the image.

I do what Spinner2 and what KrayzieVanh do too, I have a codec in my Nero Software to burn Dvd files onto a DVD disc

You don't need DVDShrink. One, he downloaded a ripped DVD which is probably in DivX or XviD format not MPEG4. DVD Shrink compress and makes images of RETAIL VIDEO (9GB -> 4GB, unless you have DLDVD), it doesn't encode. Two, if he did have a DVD that was PREVIOUSLY ripped all he would need to do is a 1 to 1 copy since the video has already been compress (not DL).

The reason I don't use a internal encoder for Nero is because it isn't that great. You don't buy a DVD burner program to encode video right'?
